Risk Disclosure for Leveraged Forex and CFD Trading
Before you read any review on this site, understand the risks that leveraged trading carries for your money.

This website is an independent editorial resource. It publishes reviews and information about a broker for readers in Pakistan. It is not the broker, it is not affiliated with the broker, and it does not provide financial services, trading accounts, deposit facilities or investment advice. Nothing published here is a personal recommendation, and nothing here is tailored to your circumstances, your income, your existing obligations or your tolerance for loss.
Because we take that editorial obligation seriously, we set out the risks of leveraged forex and CFD trading in plain terms. Reading a review does not reduce those risks, and no review can tell you whether trading is suitable for you. The decision, and the consequences of it, remain yours alone.
Leveraged products are not a savings product and they are not a route to a stable income. They are complex instruments, and the majority of people who trade them lose money. Please read the sections below before you open an account with any provider, including the one reviewed on this site.
Understand how leverage multiplies both directions
Leverage allows you to control a position far larger than the money you commit. That is the whole point of it, and it is also the source of the danger. When the market moves in your favour, the gain is calculated on the full size of the position, not on the smaller amount you set aside. When the market moves against you, the loss is calculated in exactly the same way.
A small adverse move in the underlying price can therefore wipe out a large share of your deposited funds, and a move that would be modest for someone buying an asset outright can be severe for someone trading it with leverage. Losses can exceed the amount you intended to risk on a single trade, and they can arrive quickly. Volatile conditions, including news events and moments when prices move sharply, make this more likely rather than less.
Leverage does not create an edge. It scales whatever result the market delivers, whether that result is a profit or a loss. If a strategy loses money without leverage, it will generally lose money faster with it.
Treat past results as no guide to the future
Market prices are unpredictable. Past performance, whether of a broker's platform, a trading strategy, a signal service or your own earlier trades, tells you what happened under conditions that no longer exist. It does not tell you what will happen next. A run of profitable trades can be followed by losses that erase it, and a record that looks strong over a short period often says very little about what comes after.
Be cautious with any presentation of historical returns, however detailed it appears. Figures can be selective, they can depend on the period chosen, and they rarely capture the losses that a real trader would have suffered along the way. This site does not promise that any past result will repeat, and you should not assume it will.
Retail trading outcomes vary widely, and the published figures for retail accounts that lose money on leveraged products are high in most jurisdictions where such figures are disclosed. A majority of retail accounts lose money. Assume that you could be among them rather than among the exceptions.
Know where you stand on protection, margin calls and closure
The safeguards attached to a trading account depend on the legal entity you sign with and the jurisdiction that regulates it. Rules on client money segregation, negative balance protection, leverage limits, complaint procedures and compensation arrangements differ from one country and one entity to another. An account opened under one entity may not carry the same protections as an account opened under another, even where the brand name appears the same. It is your responsibility to establish which entity you are dealing with and what protections, if any, apply to you before you deposit funds. This site does not provide legal or regulatory advice on those questions.
Margin requirements also vary by provider and by product. When the value of your account falls toward the required margin, the provider may issue a margin call requiring you to add funds. If you do not, or cannot, the provider may close your positions automatically, often at the prevailing market price and without further notice. Automatic closure can crystallise a loss at the worst possible moment, and in fast markets the closing price may be considerably worse than the level you expected.
If a provider becomes insolvent or disputes a balance, recovery routes and their effectiveness depend on the entity and its jurisdiction. Some arrangements offer limited or no compensation. If you need to contact this site about anything published here, use the contact form on this site.
